Said ring motor comprises a drive ring (20) having piezoelectric multilayer actuators (10) as the driving elements. Said piezoelectric multilayer actuators (10) are prestressed by prestressing elements (40) which extend in parallel to the effective direction (12) of the piezoelectric multilayer actuators (10) and beyond the piezoelectric multilayer actuators (10) and at least along at least some sections of at least one lateral surface (24) of the drive ring (20).
