[origin: EP2042671A2] The device has an adapter (13) with a fastening part (14) for attaching to a fastening opening and a retaining part (15) for retaining a handle actuating pin (9), where the retaining part has a retaining unit for axially and safely retaining the pin. The adapter has a locking element (17), which enables pre-defined locking positions of the pin and/or a handle (3) e.g. window handle, matched with locking projections of a collar device. A clamping device movably safely accommodates the actuating pin. An independent claim is also included for a fitting comprising a handle.
