The method involves introducing an air stream as a cooling gas stream into the evaporative cooler (3) through a starting pipeline (32), before starting the distillation column system. The cryogenic air separation system has a distillation column system with a distillation column, a feed air pipeline (10,11,12), an air compressor (1), a direct contact cooler (2) and a cleaning device (4). An independent claim is included for a cryogenic temperature-air separation system with a distillation column system.

Die Tieftemperatur-Luftzerlegungsanlage weist ein Destilliersäulen-System (5) mit mindestens einer Destilliersäule, einen Luftverdichter (1), einen Direktkontaktkühler (2), eine Reinigungseinrichtung (4), einen Verdunstungskühler (3) zur Erzeugung von Kaltwasser (30) für den Direktkontaktkühler (2) durch direkten Kontakt von Wasser mit einem Kühlgasstrom und eine Einsatzluftleitung (10, 11, 12) auf, welche durch den Luftverdichter (1), den Direktkontaktkühler (2) und die Reinigungseinrichtung (4) in das Destilliersäulen-System (5) führt. Beim Anfahren wird vor Inbetriebnahme des Destilliersäulen-Systems ein Luftstrom über eine Anfahrleitung (32) als Kühlgasstrom in den Verdunstungskühler (3) eingeleitet.
