Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008011642A2] In a method for applying a multilayered wear-resistant coating to metallic surfaces, which may already be coated, the coating comprises at least two anti-wear layers (5) and an intermediate layer (10) arranged between each pair of anti-wear layers (5). The intermediate layer (10) comprises a material composition containing the material of the anti-wear layer (5) and a further material, wherein the intermediate layer (10) is applied with a decreasing content of the material of the anti-wear layer (5) over a first transitional region (a) and with an increasing content of the material of the anti-wear layer (5) over a second transitional region (b), the content of the material of the anti-wear layer (5) in the intermediate layer (10) is chosen to be at least 5% by weight at every point.
