Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1884903A1] The method involves evaluating the intensity of the collimated light beam by the evaluation unit that is emitted by the light transmitter (LS) and is received at the light receiver. The collimated light beam is deflected by a deflection unit (AE) of the linear smoke detector in accordance with the evaluation result until a predefined intensity is reached which is detected at the light receiver. An independent claim is also included for a device for aligning or adjusting a collimated light beam of a linear smoke detector.
