[origin: EP2045092A2] The rubber sleeve has a stiff supporting sleeve (11) and a rubber cloth (12) of an at least two-layer structure wound around and fixed to the rubber sleeve. The rubber cloth has an inner base layer (13) and an outer functional layer (14) for printing. The butting edges (15,16) of the cloth are joined by a sealant (18) introduced into a gap (17) between them. The sealant is introduced by forming a hollow fillet (19) in the gap formed between the butting edges.
