[origin: WO2008000295A1] The invention relates to seating (1) comprising a seat element (2), a backrest element (3) and a supporting frame (4), wherein the supporting frame (4) comprises a carrier (8) and a mechanical means (10) for transmitting a motion, such as a lever (11) and/or guide, which connects the carrier (8) to the seat element (2) in a rear seat region (13). A leaf spring element (9), which is mounted on the stationary carrier (8), is provided as the front fastening means for the seat element (2), wherein the leaf spring element (9) comprises a first section that is guided on the carrier (8) and a second section disposed freely between the carrier (8) and the seat element (2). In the first section, the leaf spring element (9) is directed obliquely upward in the direction of a front edge (19) of the seat element (2).
