Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1884192A1] The method involves removing cable wires (6) from a cable roll (5) and winding the wires in a positioning device (2a) having a width of 2 to 3 meters. The wires are fixed in the positioning device, and a free end of the wires is cut by a cutting device (1) for producing a cutting surface. The wires are positioned in a defined cutting position relative to a cutting unit of the cutting device by the positioning device. The free end of wires is removed in a separating position for lancets with a defined length. An independent claim is also included for a lancet having lancet wires.
