[origin: WO2008009251A1] The invention relates to a vacuum pump, in particular a vane pump with a suction chamber (82) which can be connected via a suction non-return valve (20) to a low pressure chamber to be evacuated, in particular a brake force amplifier of a motor vehicle. The invention relates also to a pressure relief valve (34) via which the suction chamber of the vacuum pump can be connected to a decompressed area, in particular to the surroundings. The invention is characterized in that the suction non-return valve (20) and the pressure relief valve (34) are combined in a multifunction valve device (1).
