Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008014960A1] The invention relates to a method for the automatic recognition of three-dimensional objects which can be described by regular geometric elements, and a device for processing such objects, wherein the objects can reside in a complex environment. The method is characterized in that the arrangement parameters of the object to be recognized are determined by the fact that at least a part of the regular geometric elements describing the object to be recognized is jointly adjusted to fit data from the objects acquired by a 3D-sensor, taking into account the relationships of the regular geometric elements in the object.
