[origin: EP2047952A1] The tool has a vibration-compensating mass (3) secured on a housing (2). A rigid compensation mass (4) oscillates along an oscillation axis (A), and is formed of a set of mass components fixedly connected with each other. A spring (5) is provided for resiliently supporting the compensation mass relative to the housing. The mass components comprise a set of stacked mass components arranged along the oscillation axis. The spring is located in a pocket-shaped prismatic recess (11) formed in the compensation mass.
