[origin: EP2048102A2] Handheld device (100) comprises a handle (1) arranged on a holding plate (2), a holder (21) for a roll (4) of adhesive tape (41) and a removal unit (22) in the form of a roller connected to the holding plate. The adhesive tape is removed from the roll during a dispensing process. Preferred Features: A friction brake is arranged in the holder for the roll of adhesive tape. The removal unit is pivotably connected to the holding plate via a frame (51).
