[origin: EP2048276A1] Two supply containers (20,21) are arranged on a base unit (19) in a removable and secured manner to receive a powdered treating agent. A delivery device delivers the treating agent to a washing machine (1) through a hose (15,16). It has a mixing chamber that receives the treating agent so that the treating agent is flushed out by inflowing water and delivered to the washing machine via a detergent solution pump. The container includes an agitator drivable by an electric motor and an opening through which the powdered treating agent is admitted to the mixing chamber. An independent claim is included for a washing machine.
