Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2048302A1] The strip has a rectangular shaped sheet (1) with two parallel metal bands (2, 2') provided on a side of the sheet, where the sheet is made of elastomer i.e. ethylene-propylene terpolymer. The bands are located along opposed edges (3, 3') of the strip. The bands are embedded at a brim of the side of the sheet and in the thickness of the sheet, so that lateral walls of the bands are covered with elastomer and the bands are exposed to a side forming a surface to be glued to the interior of distinct sections to be joined. The bands are integrated to the sheet by vulcanization. The bands have thickness of 100 to 300 micrometers.
