[origin: WO2008014965A1] The use is claimed of aminoacetones or salts thereof of the general formulae (I) and (II) in which R<SUP>1</SUP> and R<SUP>2</SUP> are each independently hydrogen, C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>22</SUB>-alkyl, C<SUB>2</SUB>-C<SUB>22</SUB>-alkenyl, phenyl or C<SUB>5</SUB>-C<SUB>8</SUB>-cycloalkyl, or R<SUP>1</SUP> and R<SUP>2</SUP> together with the nitrogen atom form a 5-, 6- or 7-membered ring system, X<SUP>-</SUP> is an anion, for example chloride, bromide, iodide, toluenesulfonate, benzenesulfonate, cumenesulfonate, mesitylsulfonate, sulfate, hydrogensulfate, acetate, fatty acid anion or anion of polycarboxylates, as a bleaching booster for inorganic peroxygen compounds in the pH range from 7 to 9.
