Abstract (en)
The method involves producing a changing total charge in a part of an electrode arrangement by a weft thread (4). The changing total charge on the electrode arrangement is determined as a narrow-band frequency composition concentrated around a main component. The main component's frequency is proportional to axial velocity of the moved weft thread. A periodic change in the total charge is evaluated for determining the axial velocity of the weft thread. Nozzles of a weaving machine are controlled as a function of the axial velocity of the weft thread. An independent claim is also included for a weaving machine provided with nozzles.

Um den Transport des Schussfadens (4) durch das Webfach einer Luftdüsenwebmaschine (1) mit wenigstens einer mit einem strömenden Transportmedium gespeisten Düse (5, 6) zu optimieren, wird ein Verfahren mit den folgenden Schritten vorgeschlagen: - berührungsloses Erfassen des längs des Schussfadens (4) veränderlichen Anteils der natürlichen, auf dem Schussfaden (4) regellos angeordneten Fadenladungen unter Verwendung einer Elektrodenanordnung (15), und Feststellen der wechselnden Gesamtladung an der Elektrodenanordnung (15), - Auswerten des periodischen Wechselns der Gesamtladung zur Bestimmung der axialen Geschwindigkeit des Schussfadens (4), und - Ansteuern der wenigstens einen Düse (5, 6) der Webmaschine (1) in Abhängigkeit von der axialen Geschwindigkeit des Schussfadens (4).
