Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2050847A1] The method involves producing a changing total charge in a part of an electrode arrangement by a weft thread (4). The changing total charge on the electrode arrangement is determined as a narrow-band frequency composition concentrated around a main component. The main component's frequency is proportional to axial velocity of the moved weft thread. A periodic change in the total charge is evaluated for determining the axial velocity of the weft thread. Nozzles of a weaving machine are controlled as a function of the axial velocity of the weft thread. An independent claim is also included for a weaving machine provided with nozzles.
