Abstract (en)
The cylinder (1) has a medium (5) for receiving a lubricant. A sliding surface (7) is provided for a piston (2). Slit-shaped recesses are provided below an annular area of a cylinder surface (12), which constitutes a length of 15 percent of length (13) of the sliding surface, measured from the upper dead zone (8). An independent claim is included for a method for producing a medium for receiving a lubricant in cylinder.

Ein Zylinder (1) für einen Kolbenmotor umfasst Mittel (5) zur Aufnahme von Schmiermittel, wobei der Zylinder eine Gleitfläche (7) für einen Kolben (2) umfasst, welche eine obere Totzone (8) und eine auf dem Zylinder angeordnete Reihe von Spülschlitzen (6) einschliesst. Diese Gleitfläche (7) weist eine Mehrzahl von schlitzförmigen Ausnehmungen (5) auf, wobei die schlitzförmigen Ausnehmungen eine Länge (9) aufweisen, sowie eine Breite (10) und eine Tiefe (11), wobei die Tiefe (11) über 0.4 mm beträgt. Die schlitzförmigen Ausnehmungen (5) sind unterhalb von einem ringförmigen Bereich der Zylinderoberfläche (12) vorgesehen, der eine Länge von bis zu 15% der Länge (13) der Gleitfläche (7), von der oberen Totzone (8) aus gemessen, ausmacht.
