[origin: EP2050957A1] The machine i.e. swashplate machine (1), has a cylinder drum (3) provided with cylinder bores (4) for mounting a piston (5), such that the piston is longitudinally displaced. The piston is supported by a sliding shoe (7) on a swashplate (8), where the shoe is provided in a functional connection with a retaining device (16) i.e. retaining plate (15), that rotates synchronously with the drum. The shoe is provided in the functional connection with a moment generating device (25) for generating an opposing moment on the shoe, where the opposing moment counteracts a tipping moment.
