[origin: WO2008019795A1] The invention relates to a device for immobilizing the extremities or other body parts, preferably during primary care fracture management. Said device comprises a substantially rigid immobilization unit which immobilizes, when used for the aforementioned purpose, the extremity to be supported or the body part to be supported, and a fastening structure for fastening the device to the extremity or the body part. The invention is characterized in that an X-ray examination following primary care is not substantially impaired by the device and that the device especially does not produce any artifacts in the radiogram.
