[origin: WO2008009456A1] The invention relates to a method for the production of a package made of a plurality of individual packets (2) comprising a mineral wool product and being provided with a covering, comprising the following steps: providing the individual packets (2), counting a predetermined number of individual packets (2), collecting the same by means of a collection device, supplying the individual packets (2) to a compressing device (16) by means of the effect of gravity, compressing the individual packets (2) within the compressing device (16), and covering the same for the production of the package. The method is characterized in that the counted individual packets (2) are collected next to each other on a collection conveyor (12) and are individually supplied in successive order to the compressing device (16). The invention further relates to a device for the production of such a package and to such a package. Thus, it is achieved that the process can be performed with greater process reliability than according to the prior art, and furthermore a larger number of individual packets than conventionally can be combined into a package at existing production plants.
