[origin: WO2008022618A1] The invention relates to an actuating device for motor vehicle gearboxes, in particular an automatic gearbox. Said actuating device comprises a selection lever (1), a transmitting mechanism for sensing or transmitting the shifting command from the actuation device to the motor vehicle gearbox, and an articulation device for shifting the mounting of the selection lever (1) on at least one displacement plane. Said actuating device is characterised in that the articulation device comprises at least one four-bar mechanism (2) that is displaceably mounted about the selection lever (1). Said claimed actuation device has, in relation to prior art, advantages in particular in relation to size, has improved ergonomic properties and also in relation to the quality of the force-path-course on the selection lever, in addition to sensing and signal transmission. Due to the invention, visual shift paths or shift gates and also actuation devices are also improved in that they are compact.
