[origin: EP2055457A2] The method involves filling a layer of concrete (3) with lower density into a mold (8). Concrete with lower density is filled between an upper side of concrete (2) with higher density and an upper edge (9) of the mold after sedimenting the concrete with higher density, where two layers of concrete with lower density form an upper side and a lower side of a building block. The upper side and the lower side of the building block are machined mechanically such that the building block is arranged in a dimensionally accurate manner. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing a building block.
