[origin: EP1327738A2] This invention relates to a tilting window comprising a fixed frame (1), a wing (2) and a closing system comprising at least one built-in scissor-type mechanism (6) interconnecting the wing (2) and the frame (1), and an actuating mechanism (7) comprising a handle (9) and a coupling (10) between this handle (9) and the scissor-type mechanism (6). The coupling (10) comprises a first part (11), which is provided on the fixed frame (1) and is connected to the handle (9), and a second part (12), which is mounted on the edges of the wing (2) and is connected to the scissor-type mechanism (6), and, in the proximity of the tilting axis of the wing (2), a transmission mechanism (13) between the two parts (11) and (12). <IMAGE>
