[origin: EP2055886A2] A method for assembling door and window frames has a connecting profile (2) fitted into the end of one section (3), e.g. an upright section, and secured into the top profile (11) of an adjoining, e.g. horizontal section (1). The connecting profile includes a locking element (211 to 214) which clips into prepared holes (114) in the sliding section and therefore requires no threaded fasteners. The connecting profile is secured to the upright section by threaded fasteners and a section of holes.
