[origin: EP2056307A1] The mechanism (1) has a continuous and self-contained ring-shaped frame magnet (2) arranged between a cover plate and a ferromagnetic base plate and magnetized in an axial direction. A circular disc-shaped segmented magnet (3) is magnetized in a radial direction, where design height of the segmented magnet is greater than design height of the frame magnet. An axially magnetized magnetic core (4) is inserted into a recess that is formed in the segmented magnet, where the segmented magnet, frame magnet and the magnetic core are non-detachably secured to the base plate. An independent claim is also included for a Halbach array for releasing a magnetically held anti-theft device.
