[origin: WO2008028577A1] A push-button switch having a piezoelectric element (10) is proposed, which is arranged between a first electrode (16) and a second electrode (18) such that, when pressure is exerted on the piezoelectric element, an electrical voltage is produced between the first and the second electrode (16, 18). The voltage which is produced between the first and the second electrode (16, 18) of the piezoelectric element (10) is amplified by a suitable amplifier circuit (20), and is supplied, for example, to a control means for a control apparatus for an electronic domestic appliance.
