Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008022855A1] The invention relates to a method for offering a call centre service in a peer-to-peer network (P2P), with at least one peer (C) in the peer-to-peer network (P2P) having a call centre function (CC-F) added to it, and a check then being carried out by means of a search algorithm to determine whether a called subscriber is or is not registered (11, 21) in the peer-to-peer network (P2P). If the called subscriber is registered, an IP address is first of all determined (11) for that subscriber, and a check is then carried out to determine whether the call centre service has been activated (12) for this subscriber. An incoming call is then diverted (12, 13) to a peer (C) with a call centre function (CC-F), and is not passed on (14) to the called subscriber until contact is made with the peer (C) with the call centre function (CC-F). Otherwise, if the subscriber is not registered in the peer-to-peer network (P2P), further entries for the called subscriber are first of all checked (21) in the peer-to-peer network (P2P). If there is an entry for an active call centre service, an address of a peer (C) with a call centre function (CC-F) is sought (21), and the incoming call is then forwarded (22) directly to this peer (C) with the call centre function (CC-F).
