[origin: EP2058094A2] Splitting device comprises a splitting unit connected to a splitting fork (3) for holding a wooden log (1). The splitting unit has a splitting wedge which slides to split the log held in the fork. A pivoting unit pivots the splitting unit to adapt to the alignment of the wooden log. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle with a working device containing the splitting device. Preferred Features: The splitting unit can be drawn out from a transporting position into an operating position parallel to the sliding axis (20).
