[origin: EP2058115A2] The device (10) has a transport device (13) transporting a printing substrate (2) i.e. folding box cut-out, upstream of stamping tools (11, 12) and exhibiting a drive independent from the stamping tools. The printing substrate is synchronized with respective to a stamping position regarding a front edge or rear edge of a surface provided with the stamping by changing the transportation speed (vT) of the transport device. The printing substrate is synchronized relative to the first or last stamp that is effective in progress during stamping process. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a rotation stamping device.
