[origin: EP2058455A2] The jointed-arm awning (10) has a winding shaft for a cloth hanging (14), where a failure profile (16) is provided at the free end of the winding shaft. A blocking device is provided with a roll-bar which extends over the distance of central joints (26) of an outer side of a hinged bracket (20) in the extended position. The central joints lock mutually together in the blocking device.
