[origin: EP2060496A1] The machine has a basic machine provided with a docking station (A) for a labeling unit (E), where the labeling unit is docked and undocked from a target position at the basic machine with a predetermined sequence of relative movements. Media connector parts (6) are arranged on the basic machine and labeling unit, respectively. The connector parts are arranged on the labeling unit and docking station with respect to the target position. The parts are automatically coupled by a docking sequence of movements to establish a media connection and decoupled by an undocking sequence of movements.
