The barrel has a body (10) with a lid (30) on one end and a bottom (32) on the other. The body is of a rounded shape, with a flat spot (34) on it for resting stably on a flat surface. The cross section is basically circular apart from the flat-spot region, which extends longitudinally along the body over a bulging region (12) of it.

Um ein Fass, insbesondere Getränkefass, umfassend einen Rumpf (10) und endseitig des Rumpfes einerseits einen Deckel (30) sowie andererseits einen Boden (32), derart zu verbessern, diesem ein ansprechendes Aussehen zu geben und andererseits dieses beim Entleeren sicher auf einer Auflagefläche platzieren zu können, wird vorgeschlagen dass der Rumpf eine runde Form aufweist und dass die runde Form mit einer Abflachung (34) versehen ist.
