Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2060718A1] The assembly (2) has an elongated rail (6) for slidably receiving a carriage of a sliding door and including a rectilinear rear end portion (32) that is extended along a longitudinal direction (L) and is fixed on a fixation face (14) of a body element (4) i.e. rear side panel of a motor vehicle. A stop (8) is arranged at a free end (9) of the portion to limit the carriage displacement along the rail. The stop is pre-stressed in compression along the direction between the end and a rear support face (18) of the element, where the support face is placed against the end along the direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a sliding door of a motor vehicle.
