[origin: DE202006011612U1] The flat milling machine has a cylindrical basic body with at least one milling tool accommodation displaced in relation to the rotary axis for a correspondingly shaped milling head (12) fixed in it by a holding device. The milling head cutter extends over the face side of the basic body which serves for the milling machining. The at least one milling tool accommodation (11) in the area of the outer periphery of the basic body (10) has a circular shape with circular segment-formed cross-section and is aligned parallel to the rotary axis of the basic body. The segment chord of the circular segment profers the width of a longitudinal slot on the outer periphery of the basic body. The segment arc has an angle of more than 180 degrees.
