[origin: WO2008031476A1] The invention relates to a block-bottom bag (1, 1'), comprising at least one front wall (2) and one rear wall (3) which are welded to one another on their longitudinal sides (4, 5), and a bottom (18) which forms a bottom fold (7) in the folded state of the bag (1, 1'), which bottom fold (7) extends over the entire width of the bottom (18) and protrudes into the bag interior, wherein the two side-wall sections (8, 9) which are folded in to form the bottom fold (7) are divided from one another by an inner folding line (10) and from the respective side wall (2, 3) by in each case one outer folding line (11, 12) which is parallel to the inner folding line (10), and, in order to form the block bottom (18), the bag (1, 1') has welds (13, 14, 15, 16) which run obliquely with respect to the folding lines (10, 11, 12) and extend from the outer folding lines (11, 12) towards the longitudinal sides (4, 5), wherein the welds (13, 14, 15, 16) extend parallel to the longitudinal sides (4, 5) at least in regions.
