[origin: DE102007009532A1] The method involves generating a pulse-shaped electrical operating current for operating a radiation-emitting semiconductor component in such a manner that radiation flux of the component changes only within a predetermined radiation flux tolerance band over a pulse duration. The current is raised over the pulse duration. An electrical compensation current is generated and increased over the pulse duration. The compensation current is overlapped to a pulse-shaped electrical switching current for generating the operating current. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a control device (2) a method for manufacturing a control device for operating a radiation-emitting semiconductor component.
