Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2062518A2] The invention provides a surface treating appliance (10) comprising a main body (12), a head (14) and a connector (40). The connector (40) is adapted and arranged to connect the head (14) to the main body (12) whilst allowing relative rotation therebetween. The connector (40) includes a connecting member (54) which is removable from the remainder of the connector (40) to allow the head (14) to be released from the main body (12). At least a part of the connecting member (54) forms a part of the external surface of the surface treating appliance (10). By providing such an arrangement, the connecting member (54) is immediately visible to the user and can be accessed easily. Further, only the connecting member (54) needs to be removed in order to release the head (14) from the main body (12), making removal of the head (14) a simple and straightforward process.
