Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2062667A2] The casting piston rod for a casting machine, comprises a cylindrical base body (1) entirely or predominantly out of light metal material, a coupler for coupling a casting piston and/or a coupler for coupling a drive piston arranged on the base body. The base body has axial cool channel bore (4, 5). The casting piston coupler and/or the drive piston-coupler consist of another material like the base body and are mounted as separate component on the base body. The casting piston-coupler is arranged on the cylindrical side and the drive piston coupler is arranged on the other cylindrical side. The casting piston rod for a casting machine, comprises a cylindrical base body (1) entirely or predominantly out of light metal material, a coupler for coupling a casting piston and/or a coupler for coupling a drive piston arranged on the base body. The base body has an axial cool channel bore (4, 5). The casting piston coupler and/or the drive piston-coupler consist of another material like the base body and are mounted as separate component on the base body. The casting piston-coupler is arranged on the cylindrical side and the drive piston coupler is arranged on the other cylindrical side. The base body has a cool channel inlet bore (6) and a cool channel outlet bore (7) that lead on the periphery of the base body and are connected with the cool channel bore. An insertion piece closes the annular ring and has a connecting passage (11) over which the cool tube is connected with the cool channel inlet bore.
