[origin: EP2062707A2] The invention relates to a method for treating a wooden surface, said method including at least the following steps: - the wooden surface is set into contact with the smooth contact surface (3) of a rock-material piece (30), - the wooden surface and the contact surface (3) of the rock-material piece (30) are moved in relation to each other, and at the same time a certain homogeneous compression pressure (P) is created therebetween, said pressure being such that the wooden surface is compressed, but any wooden material, such as wood fibers, is not, however, essentially removed from the wooden surface, - after said wooden surface is compressed, it can be treated, at the moment of treatment, by a liquid or solid coating, at least once.
