[origin: EP2062734A1] A method for calibrating an inkjet printhead comprises printing a test pattern on a medium. The test pattern comprises a number of parts, which parts are printed from separate virtual parts of a row of nozzles of the printhead. The parts of the test pattern are arranged such that a sensor having a limited field-of-view is enabled to sense the test pattern in a single sensing operation, such as a single scanning operation. Further the parts of the test pattern are arranged such that a relatively large number of dot positioning errors may be detected and at least partly compensated by adjusting a jet timing per nozzle, for example.
