Abstract (en)
An arrangement is disclosed, which detachably interconnects a first and a second spreader in side by side lift operations. The arrangement comprises a first arm section (10) which is connected and pivotally journalled to a first spreader, a second arm section (10') connected and pivotally journalled to a second spreader, wherein the first arid second arm sections are pivotally interconnected through a hinged connection (13). Analogously herewith, a method for connecting a first spreader to a second spreader in side by side lift operations is disclosed, comprising the steps of: arranging a first arm section pivotally about a horizontal axis on the first spreader; arranging a second arm section pivotally about a horizontal axis on the second spreader; controlling the first and second arm sections to pivot towards each other, and mating the meeting ends of the first and second arm sections in a separable hinge connection.
