Abstract (en)
The gripper has a gripper mechanism with lower and upper clamping jaws (10, 16) for grasping and holding weft threads, where one of the clamping jaws is arranged at a gripper body (8) by an insert (12). The insert is partially formed of rubbery-elastic material e.g. natural rubber and silicone, and includes two surfaces. One of the surfaces is connected with a corresponding opposing surface of the gripper body and the other surface is connected with a corresponding opposing surface of the clamping jaw by gluing or vulcanization.

Um bei einer Greiferwebmaschine zu vermeiden, dass der Schussfaden beim formschlüssigen Greifen und Transportieren durch den Bringgreifer (2) oder den Holgreifer z.B. durch ein verkantetes Schliessen der Greifelemente beschädigt wird, wird vorgeschlagen, die Klemmbacken (10, 16) federnd im oder am Greiferkörper (8) oder an Halterungen, die am Greiferkörper (8) angeordnet sind zu lagern. Dabei kommt eine zu einer Fläche der Halterung und zu einer Fläche der Klemmbacke in etwa parallele, eingeklebte Gummieinlage (12, 14) zum Einsatz.
