Abstract (en)

The cord or strip, (10) comprises strands (30) surrounded by a casing (20), which runs along it. The strands are made from silicon rubber. Temperatures ranging from -40[deg] C to 120[deg] C are resisted. The casing comprises textile layers. Each layer comprises a braid, a woven fabric (22) or a knit. The layers surround the strands completely, and run along the cord. The casing is made from monofilaments and/or multiple threads of e.g. polyester fibers, viscose fibers, cotton fibers or polyamide fibers. The silicon rubber strands form a parallel bundle. All have identical shape and the same cross section. They are parallel, intertwined or interwoven. They are round or rectangular in cross section. Support threads included in the casing, surround the strands. The product is in the form of a strip or band with rectangular cross section. The parallel strands at the center of the width, have a smaller diameter than those at the edges.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf temperaturbeständiges, elastisches Strangelement (10), insbesondere in Form eines Profilbandes(11), einer Kordel, einer Litze oder einer Rundschnur. Das Strangelement (10) besitzt für erhöhte Anforderungen im Bereich Automotive insbesondere eine Dauerelastizität in einem weiten Temperaturbereich von -40°C bis 120°C. Ein solches Strangelement (10) umfasst mindestens einen Mantel (20), der eine in Längsrichtung des Strangelements (10) verlaufende strangförmige Seele (30) aus Silikonmaterial umgibt, wobei vorzugsweise ein oder mehrere textile Lagen den Mantel (20) bilden und die einzelnen Lagen aus einem Geflecht, einem Gewebe (22) oder einem Gewirk bestehen und diese Lagen die Seele (30) in Längsrichtung vollständig umgeben (Fig.1a).
