[origin: EP2063023A2] The device has a pressure applying unit (312.1) for applying laminar pressure on a fabric (316). Another pressure applying unit lies opposite to the unit (312.1) and applies laminar counter pressure on the fabric. Two frame halves (310.1, 310.2) are compressed on each other by the applied pressures. A frame opening is provided for exchanging fabric i.e. felt. A processing unit is provided in a horizontal direction of the applying units. The former applying unit has a cylinder (300.1) e.g. hydraulic cylinder, supported over a supporting unit e.g. guide plate, at one of the frame halves. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a paper machine (2) a method for exchanging fabric in a press section and a wire section of a paper machine.
