Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2063027A2] The mat has a tubular shaped drainage element (110) arranged between a carrier web and a cover web. The drainage element has a hollow space for discharging fluids. Openings are provided in the drainage element for discharging the fluids in the hollow space. The drainage element is formed by a dimensionally stable tube that includes yarns, which are interwoven with each another. A free flowing filling material (112) is provided outside the drainage element between the carrier web and the cover web. The yarns of the tube are interwoven with each other in a plain weave. The filling material consists of foamed clay, fine gravel, or synthetic granules. The carrier web and the cover web are formed from woven material, knitted fabric, non-woven material or from foil.
