[origin: EP2063443A2] The device (1) has a housing (4) firmly attached to an electrically operated machine (2). An actuating cap (5) accessible from the outside is axially and displaceably held at the housing. A contact bridge (21) is locked in a hollow space (16) of an attachment casing (7). A control switch is supported at the housing in a movement direction (9) of the contact bridge and aligned to the contact bridge. The contact switch is spaced from the contact bridge in an unactuated condition of the device. The control switch is closed by the contact bridge in an actuated condition of the device.
