[origin: WO2008000937A1] This apparatus (1) comprises means (3) for receiving the waste, means (17, 41) for grinding the waste and/or means (18) for disinfecting this waste. According to the invention, the apparatus (1) comprises a body (2) and a removable receptacle (3); the body (2) comprises a seat (4) for receiving the removable receptacle (3), drive means (8) accessible from said seat (4), and/or the disinfecting means (18) and an orifice (9) through which a disinfecting fluid is introduced into said removable receptacle (3) and which opens into said seat (4); the removable receptacle (3) constitutes said means for receiving the waste; it comprises the grinding means (41, 40), which come into engagement with said drive means (8) when the receptacle (3) is placed on said seat (4), and/or an orifice (13) through which the disinfecting fluid is introduced into the receptacle (3) and which comes into communication with the corresponding orifice (9) opening into said seat (4).
