[origin: DE202006013709U1] In an ice dispenser comprising an ice block storage vessel (6, 10), a slide having a first set of fingers (9) movable over a delivery opening (12) and a group of structures with a second set of fingers, where movement of the slide alters the spacing between the two sets of fingers, the group of structures is movable between a first position in which the delivery opening is partially covered and a position in which the opening is unimpeded. An ice dispenser comprises an ice block storage vessel (6, 10); a slide movable on a specific path over a delivery opening (12) in the vessel and having a first set of fingers (9); and a group of structures (e.g. transverse stays and fingers) including a second set of fingers. At least one of the sets has at least two axially separated fingers, and movement of the slide alters the spacing between the two sets of fingers. The novel feature is that the group of structures is movable between a first position in which the delivery opening is partially covered and a position in which the opening is unimpeded.
