[origin: EP2064978A2] The nozzle (1) has a rotating/pivoting joint (6) provided with connecting pieces (8) for a suction tube. A supporting element i.e. rotatable roller or guide roller, is arranged in the area of the joint. The supporting element receives vertical forces guided via the tube or a vacuum cleaner housing during movement of the nozzle in an operating position. The pieces are aligned perpendicular to a longitudinal direction (X) in another operating position. The supporting element is lifted in relation to a lower side of a suction head (2) and is not utilized for supporting the suction head.
